Social & Community Participation

Don't miss out on the vibrant tapestry of your community! We'll help you connect, engage, and thrive.

Imagine: feeling the excitement of joining a new club, the joy of connecting with friends, or the satisfaction of being an active part of your community. We understand the desire to connect, explore new interests, and feel like an active part of your community. That's where Social & Community Participation comes in. We're here to bridge the gap and empower you to experience the joy of social connection.

Here’s how we can help:

  • Discover your passions: We'll help you identify activities you truly enjoy, whether it's joining a dance class, exploring museums, or volunteering for a cause you care about.

  • Navigate the world with confidence: Need help using public transport? Finding the right social group? We'll provide the support you need to feel comfortable and confident venturing out.

  • Forge meaningful connections: Expand your social circle, meet people who share your interests, and build lasting friendships.

  • Embrace your independence: We'll empower you to develop the skills and confidence to participate in your community on your own terms.

Forget one-size-fits-all programs! We tailor our support to your unique needs and aspirations. Whether you need assistance with transportation, finding the right activity, or simply a friendly companion, we'll be there every step of the way.

Here's what you can expect:

  • Personalized support: We'll match you with a supportive professional who shares your interests and understands your goals.

  • Customizable plan: We'll co-create a plan that reflects your specific needs and preferences.

  • Focus on independence: Our goal is to empower you to participate in your community with increasing autonomy.

  • Focus on well-being: We believe that social connection and community involvement are essential for your happiness and overall well-being.

  • Social and community participation is a core support category under the NDIS. This means that if a person with disability requires assistance to participate in social and community activities, the NDIS will cover it.

  • Social & Community Participation is generally funded as part of your Core budget and may not always be stated. This means in most circumstances you can use your core budget flexibly to access social & community participation activities.

If it is stated in your plan, you’ll likely see it under Core Supports – Assistance with Social and Community Participation or Capacity Building – Increased Social and Community Participation.

  • It’s completely up to you. What would you like to try?
